As a child I loved to draw, read and play music— so naturally I was captivated by animated films as they brought everything I loved together in a single art form. In peaceful moments, I could often be found pencil in hand, drawing my favourite characters while listening to orchestral scores. As I grew older, I began creating my own characters inspired by my furry best friend, Wellie the Springer Spaniel, the wildlife around where we lived, and my favourite books. I honestly can’t remember how old I was when I first dreamed of being an artist and working on animated films, it feels like it’s been part of me all my life…
