Graham and I got married in mid 2019, and I returned to work a couple of weeks later. I seriously considered leaving my job as I had been contemplating doing so even prior to my burnout. However, I wanted to leave to pursue a clear path —to run towards something rather than simply running away. As I didn’t know exactly what that ‘something’ was at this stage —I was still trying to figure out where that path was leading me — I decided to try and ‘live like a nun’ and save every penny I could to give myself as many options as possible.
