‘Watching Swallows’, by Louis McNallly

We found the final piece of the puzzle—the one that tied everything together—one hot summer evening while watching swallows dance across the sky. The idea we developed together was to explore a different variation of the mythology surrounding the Phoenix’s song in each episode of The Vale of Araluen. By using these distinct aspects to inspire and inform our narrative, artwork, and music, we created a unifying theme and a framework that allows us to develop our characters and expand our world as the series unfolds.
