Inspired by the work of Beatrix Potter, Jess Karp and Sir David Attenborough, The Vale of Araluen will now be called ‘The Tales of Araluen’ and comprise a series of short stories. Each one will focus on a different inhabitant of The Vale. Our central character is a phoenix called Ember, who will be introduced in the first tale. As mentioned above, we will be exploring different elements of the mythology of the phoenix’s song in each tale.

To allow us to really lean into the aspects we enjoy—the story, music and art—without restricting our artistic freedom or being limited by resources, some tales will be an illustrated story, while others maybe a storyboard, or series of paintings with a score rather than a full 3D animation.
